As an active session musician, Chris's playing has been heard on numerous movie soundtracks, documentaries, live broadcasts, and television commercials.
Gartner's bassline under a blistering Lou Reed guitar solo is the first thing you here in this documentary "The Art of the Straight Line - LOU REED & TAI CHI"
The song is Coma from Kevin Hearn and Thinbuckle's Havana Winter album.

You can hear Chris's playing througout the critically acclaimed film: "There are no Fakes"
The soundtrack features performances by Kevin Hearn, Hugh Marsh, Gavin Brown and Gartner. The film premiered at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in 2019. It had its television premiere on February 1, 2020
